As per the last two years, the Manu 3 had a grand opening. On the occasion of Women’s Day, the third edition of Manu was conducted on 7 & 8 March 2022. A large number of people proved the success of this event Manu-3.

Inauguration

The inauguration of this exhibition was on 7th March 2022. Bundelkhand Art Society was organized under the joint aegis of the Government Museum. The Chief Guest Mrs. Mithlesh Sachan inaugurated Manu 3-(Women Power) International Women Painters Exhibition-2022. She was the Joint Development Commissioner, Jhansi Division. However, Dr. Sunita & Kamini Baghel was the guest of honor of the event.

The Purpose of the Exhibition and the Name

Bundelkhand Art Society dedicates this exhibition every year to Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi. This exhibition provides respect and a proper platform for women. It also honors him for his art and his contribution to any field. However, the title of this exhibition was given on the childhood name of Queen Laxmi Bai of Jhansi, “Manu”. In fact, Bundelkhand Art Society believes that there can be no better ideal than the Rani of Jhansi.

The exhibition was inaugurated by cutting the lace and lighting the lamp in the gallery. After that, the guests observed the paintings in the exhibition. They also talked to the painters. On this occasion, the Chief Guest Mrs. Mithlesh Sachan has expressed her happiness. In fact, she said that Manu Exhibition is a great effort. Through this, the Bundelkhand Art Society has played a commendable role. Surely, It is providing an international platform to women artists.

On this occasion, the special guest Dr. Sunita extended best wishes to all the artists. She said that the Bundelkhand Society has been organizing Manu Exhibition continuously. Again, society has proved that the level of this event is continuously reaching the top.

Another special guest Kamini Baghel also expressed her happiness. However, she was very much impressed with the works of all the ladies. The works of all the artists are of a good standard.

Priyanka Richharia conducted the whole program. While Mridula Saxena gave the vote of thanks to all the guests.

Live Broadcast of the Exhibition

Bundelkhand Art Society has always been known for doing some innovations in the art world. Whether it is a matter of regularizing art activities or taking everyone along. In all these points the credibility of the society is increasing day by day.

Going a step ahead, the society released its program live in Jhansi through YouTube. This was the first time when an art organization was live in Jhansi. Especially, Mueen Akhtar said that we should always walk with technology. However, he has been the source of inspiration for us. Definitely, such efforts will act as an inspiration and guidance for the rest of the institutions.

Popularity of the Exhibition

A massive crowd of people gathered in the gallery of the State Museum. Surely, the big crowd proved the success of the exhibition. People appreciated the various themes and painting in the gallery. On this occasion, there were Mueen Akhtar, RK Khatri, Vikrant Jha, Meraj Fatima. Among the other people, there were Dheeraj Khare, Madhu Srivastava, Upasana, Bhavna Dubey, Sadhana Niranjan, Shweta Jain, Pratibha, Arundhati, Vaishali Chaudhary, Kamini Mishra, and others.

Manu Samman Award and Gold Medalist

Mridula Saxena was the head of the Exhibition organizing team. So, she said that 11 International painters and 57 national artists participated in this exhibition. However, the selection committee selected the following painters for the gold medal:

  2. Sapna Raikwar (Ujjain)
  3. Saroj (Varanasi)
  4. Shashikanti (Jhansi)
  5. Nikun Agarwal (IF)

On International Women’s Day, Bundelkhand Art Society honored Dr. Madhu Srivastava. In fact, the Society gave her Manu Samman for her remarkable contribution and work in Bundeli folk painting.
